The eagles are a big tourism attraction in the Riverbend, and bird watchers were out in force Monday and Tuesday, taking advantage of 50-degree weather and walking the levee along Illinois 143 in Alton with bird watching scopes. More eagle eyes could be seen near the Melvin Price Locks and Dam 26 and along the Great River Road.
