LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) – 4 Nebraska airports, together with two within the central a part of the state, have been awarded $9.25 million in federal grants by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The Burwell/Cram Area obtained $110,000 via President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation. The Aurora Municipal/Al Potter Area obtained $4,974,000 to reconstruct a taxiway from Airport Enchancment Program grants.
The opposite two airports have been the Sidney Municipal/Lloyd W. Carr Area receiving $159,000 and the Alliance Municipal Airport getting $4,012,000 to rehabilitate their plane apron.
“We’re comfortable to have the ability to companion with the FAA Central Area in Kansas Metropolis to get this important grant funding to our airports,” stated Ann Richart, AAE, Director of the Aeronautics Division of NDOT. “We’re inspired that NDOT will take part with the FAA sooner or later to make sure that our communities will have the ability to make most use of those federal grant funds.”
Nebraska’s airports obtained over $22 million out of a complete of $3 billion in AIP grants from the FAA this 12 months.
