Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd, a listed subsidiary of the holding company GEPL (GMR Enterprises Pvt Ltd), opened with gains after 0.5% of equity exchanged hands in a block deal. At 9:45 am, the scrip was trading 2.21% higher at ₹85.75 apiece on the NSE.
The GMR Airports Infrastructure stock is up 7% in the last five trading sessions and has rallied over 110% in the last one year.
GQG made a substantial investment by acquiring nearly 29 crore shares in GMR Airports Infrastructure, amounting to an impressive ₹1,672 crore.
About 76 crore shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure or 12.6% of the total equity exchanged hands in a large trade on December 8. The transaction was valued at ₹4,465 crore.
The GMR Airports currently operates New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, and the Manohar International Airport in Goa, and an airport each in the Philippines and Indonesia.
