As Florida residents attempt to get again on their toes after Hurricane Ian swept by their state, they could be capable of have a little bit of normalcy as many airports, roadways, faculties, nationwide parks and theme parks start to reopen.

Airports

  • Jacksonville Worldwide Airport (JAX) – Open.
  • Melbourne Orlando Worldwide Airport (MLB) – Open.
  • Orlando Worldwide Airport (MCO) – Open.
  • Southwest Florida Worldwide Airport (RSW) – Opened Wednesday, Oct. 5 for restricted industrial flight operations. Extra data right here.
  • Tampa Worldwide Airport (TPA) – Open.
  • Tallahassee Worldwide Airport (TLH) – Open.

Roads

  • I-75 – Interstate 75 from mile marker 179 to mile marker 193 is open.
  • I-75 – Interstate 75 over the Myakka River in Sarasota County is open.
  • US-17 – US route 17 from Arcadia to Wauchula is now open for motorists.
  • To Pine Island – Short-term entry roadway to Pine Island is open.
  • To Sanibel Island – Short-term bridge to open by the top of October.

Faculties

  • Charlotte County Faculties – Closed till additional discover.
  • Collier County Faculties – Reopen on Thursday, Oct. 6.
  • DeSoto County Faculties – Closed till additional discover.
  • Hardee County Faculties – Closed by Friday, Oct. 7.
  • Lee County Faculties – Reopen on Monday, Oct. 10.
  • Sarasota County Faculties – Closed by Friday, Oct. 7. Partial reopening Monday, Oct. 10. Extra data may be discovered right here.
  • Volusia County Faculties – Reopened Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Nationwide Parks

  • Large Cypress Nationwide Protect – Closed.
  • Biscayne Nationwide Park – Open.
  • Dry Tortugas Nationwide Park – Partially reopened. Ferry and personal vessels won’t be able to entry the docks till important repairs are made, in keeping with the Nationwide Park Service. Extra data right here.
  • Everglades Nationwide Park – Open, apart from Gulf Coast Customer Middle and Everglades Metropolis entrance, Flamingo campground, Lengthy Pine Key campgrounds (closed seasonally) and Wilderness tenting.

Theme Parks

  • LEGOLAND – LEGOLAND Theme Park and Peppa Pig Theme Park are open. LEGOLAND Water Park is briefly closed and can reopen on Saturday, Oct. 8. LEGOLAND Seaside Retreat will stay briefly closed.
