(CNN) A Delta Air Traces passenger was arrested after opening one of many airplane’s doorways and sliding down an emergency exit slide because the airplane ready for takeoff from Los Angeles to Seattle Saturday, officers stated.
The incident on Delta Flight 1714 occurred round 10:40 a.m. native time, whereas the airplane was stationary on the Los Angeles Worldwide Airport, in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration.
The airplane, a Boeing 737, was on the runway holding to taxi for takeoff when the passenger exited the plane after activating the emergency exit slide, the FAA stated.
The passenger was initially detained by Delta workers earlier than being arrested by native regulation enforcement, the assertion learn.
“Clients are being reaccommodated on a brand new plane and we apologize for the inconvenience and delay of their journey plans,” the FAA stated.
